Thanksgiving Table Setting

We are having a pretty quiet Thanksgiving this year.
I am super excited to start showing of my kitchen redo to some of the family, but..
I have been putting myself under too much stress recently.

I need to dial some stuff back in my life.

I want the table and decor to be simple,
with stuff I can throw in the dishwasher when we are finished eating.
So
I won't be pulling out the good china.

Earlier this fall, I was inspired by these preserved leaves I found at Tom Thumb.
I tucked them under twine napkin rings.
I will reuse them to set our Thanksgiving table.
I am not a huge fan of browns, golds, orange and red.
I want to use my white Adam's china plates.
I found these at the thrift store for only a dollar each.
I ran out and got some silver charges at
Hobby Lobby.

I found these turkey salad plates at Tuesday Morning.

I will reuse some linen napkins my sister-in-law gave me.

The acorns came from Big Lots ages ago.

We will use my mom's sterling

and

Bill's Grandmother's goblets.

Those will be the only things that need

hand washing. The rest we can pop in the dishwasher.

Some turkeys placed here and there.
This cute turkey was terra cotta. I sprayed him with Rust Oleum in a white semi gloss finish.

If I am not hosting, I tend to skip
Thanksgiving decor all together and start on Christmas.
It has been fun to focus on one holiday at a time, instead of the house looking like a Hobby Lobby has exploded.
I have been able to think about the many blessings He has given me and
to slow down, take my time and just be quiet.
Happy Thanksgiving!
