Master Bath Remodel Revealed

Here is our new master bath!
I am grateful and relieved.
I said from the beginning that I wanted the bathroom I had but with upgraded and updated finishes.
Classic details
The Clawfoot Tub
 Lots of sparkle
 Antique charm

Modern amenities
I love the vanities.
Our new vanities are much higher than the old one. Bill doesn't have to bend over to use the sink.
I thought I wouldn't love these swirly little doors on the cabinets but I am wild about them.
I like being able to see all the jars for potions and lotions.

I love our faucets. I love the chrome on the black granite.
I wanted something with a vintage feel and we were able to achieve that with the porcelain knobs.
The wall color is Gray Screen by Sherwin Williams.

I think the shower looks like a glass jewel box.
The frameless glass was essential to making the room feel updated and not having a frame obstruct the view of the tub.

I love the pull on the door.
I love the tile. I would have been content just to have the white looking Carrera.
Our tile guy had to talk me into the border

but he was right. It ties the whole room together.

This mirror on the potty room door was an afterthought but it is one of my favorite things.
I love that it reflects some of the beautiful elements. It is beautiful and functional and it was only $40.00.

We are thrilled with it all but
can you guess my favorite part?

I am totally smitten with this bathtub.
I am amazed by it every time I walk in the room.
I love the faucet.

The spray nozzle is amazingly beautiful and functional.
The drain plug is just the cutest thing.
It reminds me of being a kid at my grandparent's house.

I am so impressed with the tile job they did on the floor.
He selected each tile so there would be movement and subtle color variation.

We were devastated when I found mold and standing water by the shower back in February.
It took a while to get from
 this
to this.
It's been worth the wait!
What do you think?
Katie

P.S. I want to give a huge thank you to my designer, Kim Keeton, of Keeton Custom Homes.
We wouldn't have been able to do this without her.

  24. Yes, you can do your own tile work. Make sure you get one of the big tile saws, it is much easier to get picky cuts with. We have just re-done two bathrooms, one has a new vanity, tile floor, and drywall. The other one has a new shower(no tub) shower doors, floor tile, and vanity.

  25. I love your taste Katie. The bathtub is my favorite too, it really makes a statement and it looks wonderful with your vanities. We have a claw foot in our master bathroom too (I love it) and we're getting ready to sell our home and I'm curious what the reaction will be from the average home buyer...

  30. Last year I decided, after much thought, that I definitely wanted to remodel my bathroom. A colleague of mine suggested I contact the team at Classic Kitchen and Bath in Illinois. I was very pleased after the first call. What I admire the most about their team is that they truly enjoy what they do and they took the time to customize designs to my desire. To date, I stand in my bathroom and look at it with awe. Visit their website today www.myclassickitchenandbath.com or call 630-515-9151. I highly recommend them to everyone considering kitchen and bathroom remodeling.

  31. Often, when you purchase a home, some of the most dated rooms in them are the bathrooms. They are also the ones that usually best reflect our own personal daily needs and tastes. The bathroom happens to be the room where the best professional craftsmanship is needed. Remodeling Contractor Baltimore

  41. There are a lot of wonderful things happening in this space, but I think I am most excited about painting this room a fresh new color! I'm exploring those options - but first I need to choose grout color, pick up a new toilet, choose a medicine cabinet, sconces .... I'll update you later on the progress!steam sauna generator bath
