Monday Social/ A New Social Platform Link Party Coming

When I was a girl, birthday parties were a dress up affair.

I went to a very small school and we were thrilled to be able to go to each others parties.
We would put on our ankle socks and maybe our little white gloves and a stylish hat.
Parties were a formal affair back in the day.
People just don't really dress up much anymore, do they?

I've tried to explain blog parties and blog hops to my non-blogging family members and friends.
I've seen that glazed look in their eyes.
I don't think they understand.
Bloggers can link up to blog parties or hops using a linking program. Others can go to the party and click on a link that takes them to a blog they may have never seen before.
That is one way bloggers socialize and get the know other bloggers.
It is a great way to find new blogs in your genre of interest.
That is how I've built up blogging friendships.
Insert another glazed look, please.

Our party isn't just for bloggers!
If you are trying to build some type of social media presence, than I think you perceive the need for socializing.

Judith @ Botanic Bleu and Eilis @ My Heart Lives Here and I are excited to announce our new Monday Social Link Party.
You don't have to be a blogger to join which is fabulous news for those that want to build a media platform but don't have a blog.
Anyone can link up a blog post, Instagram picture, Facebook or Pinterest page to our party as long as you are linking original content.

All you have to do is link your site to the Inlinkz code that will be available on all three blogs on September 11th at 4:00 in the afternoon CT.

 Come socialize with  us.
No white gloves, ankle socks or hats required!
Help us spread the word about this new party.

  1. Katie,
Love your first photo of the little girls at a birthday party.... I remember white ankle socks with the white lace ruffled trim.

Hope you had a first great day at school yesterday.

  4. Oh Katie! Your post had me laughing my butt off. I think you have to be of "a certain age" to remember when girls didn't wear pants to school and flying on a plane meant heels and your best dress. Looking forward to the new party.
