Goodbye, Santa

Santa and the gingerbread man didn't survive Christmas Day.
As soon as the kids were gone, I started gathering up the vestiges of anything too sugar plum and set it in a bag.
I reach my limit of holiday, visual clutter once there are candy and cookie tins everywhere.
The wrapping paper nearly does me in.
On the 26th, I pulled out accoutrements in more of a winter theme. In case you are wondering, I really use the word "accoutrements" in my vocabulary. Yes, I can come across as pretentious but, I assure you, I'm a regular gal once you get to know me.

A Currier and Ives winter print stands where Santa was on Monday.

My penguin friends have been hanging out with some mercury glass candle holders.
They are ready for more entertaining this weekend.

We're trying to stay warm and cozy during this quiet week after Christmas.
What are you up to?

Please stop in on Tuesday for Keep In Touch #1.
A link Party that goes live Tuesday's at 4:00.

  5. The Santas will be out today or tomorrow; the snow folk in. The winter tree stays up; Christmas will come down. And I'll miss it so much! (But I'm with you on the tins and wrapping paper!)

  6. I always feel like my house is so bare when I take down all the Christmas sparkle. You have managed to avoid that feeling in your lovely home with your cozy winter decor. Thanks for sharing on Share Your Style.
