I have a "milestonish" kind of birthday tomorrow.
I've aged quite a bit.
The problem is that I still feel like this girl.
I'm glad I know now what I didn't know then but I wish I appreciated the then a little more.
The size,
the lack of jowls,
the lack of hair that sprouts everywhere.
I've had very few birthdays that I've dreaded.
40? Ummm nope!
I didn't like that one at all.
Normally, thinking about age isn't something that occurs to me.
It's just a number.
I still feel cool on the inside but this number is giving me pause.
I don't have any momentous life announcements to make.
I'm not a grammy or grandma or honey.
I'm not planning a wedding.
Most of the time I'm content with the life stage of the moment.
(I'd rather not be planning a wedding for someone that isn't the right one for one of my children.)
This birthday feels like a milestone in more ways than just chronologically.
Could change be on the way?
It's all in God's hands and timing but as I plan my outfit for tomorrow, I think I'll pull out the turquoise bracelets that I've had since high school.

That way I can feel as cool on the outside as I do on the inside.
;)
I'll reminisce about the girl I used to be.
Anybody know where I can get some bell bottoms?
