I've created a bit of a Nordic feel for our Christmas the last few years.
Vibeke at Vibeke Designs is an amazing and talented blogger.
Her pictures are unbelievably gorgeous.
After scrolling through post after post, I started adding a few of these elements to our Christmas decor.

It's easy to do.

Lanterns and candles are prominent elements in Nordic design.
Norway is dark for long periods so warm lighting is essential.

Interesting and unusual advent candles have been prominent on Vibeke's blog.
This is my attempt at creating a Nordic inspired vignette.

I need to stick to faux gingerbread houses but pepperkakhus' are prominent kitchen decor.

My gingerbread men are also faux.

Lantern houses with candles is a reoccurring theme in Nordic Style. I was pleased to get both of these on clearance at Joann's last year.

Natural greenery in muted colors is a favorite of mine.

I love snowy trees that have an alpine feel.

A lot of our ornaments have a old world Christmas vibe.

I love old fashioned Santas.

See how easy that was?
Link up anything post that has a North Woods, Mountain, Alpine or Nordic feel.
The link up will stay open until December 24th.
Thanks for stopping by,
Katie

  1. Hi Katie, I love Vibeke Designs blog as well. Yes, her photos are gorgeous! You nailed it wonderfully. I love your advent and sweet ornaments. That Santa one is very sweet. Wasn't sure I'd have anything that would fit the bill, but I managed to do a post. The link isn't open yet, so I'll be back later. So happy to have you partying with us!

  7. I love the space here. I attended an amazing event at event venue Atlanta and I ate more than I should. I had bread pudding, apple crisp, waffles and strawberries and cream. The main floor is very large and good size without being overwhelming, also there's tons of bar space too to order drinks.
