Keep In Touch #20

Welcome to Keep In Touch #20.

I've been busy getting ready for summer.
Friday I went to Hobby Lobby to look for a flower pot. They didn't really have anything.
Good news. I did find scarecrows.
Really?

I ran into friends when I stopped in at Home Depot. They had a perfect flower pot.

Bill and I went to a birthday dinner with friends on Friday night.

Bill pulled the pool up from behind our fence.

The pump is installed and the pool is up and running.
It rained Saturday night and now the pool is green.
Local residents can thank me now. We needed the rain.
Bill took credit for the rain, however, since he just washed his new car.

Our town has a great outdoor concert venue. Pure Prairie League came to town on Saturday night.
It was one of the best concerts we have seen out there.

I've started painting closets.
Covering up sharpie is no joke.

Eight Coats of Primer and it is still bleeding through.

In the process, I found a box of old cards and letters.

This student is an adult and ended up working for me all last year.
So fun.

I can't wait to read through all this snail mail again.

My son has quite a record collection in that aforementioned closet.
I found some records from my oldest brother's friend.
Some how some of his records ended up in my son's collection.
The text thread between my brother and I is too funny not to share.

A friend and I were just talking about Bobby Sherman and how he was our teenage heart throb.

This is a trifold album cover. It unfolds so you have the whole view of Bobby Sherman for your room.
So groovy.
Unfortunately, my friend was unable to leave work and listen to the album with me.
;)

On to our feature.
Our feature this week is from A Day Of Small Things.
I loved the unique interpretations  of the May Day baskets around Annapolis. Too fun.

Thanks for reading.

  1. After the third coat I think I would have decided that this closet would look great in a nice shade of blue! Good for you. But what a treasure to find such a special letter and take a grand walk down memory lane! Thanks for hosting!

  6. Bobby Sherman was mine. I gave Chris a bunch of albums when he helped with one of my many moves.
