Water Fun 2014!

Hi Everybody,
We're having a relaxing weekend at my brother's lake house.

It's a little sad because we are pulling the toys from the lake for winter storage.
We had a great season.
This was the first summer that I really embraced water activities.

I finally decided that I didn't care about wet hair or how I looked in a bathing suit.

So we floated, jet skied, boated and kayaked.

It was so much fun!

I was able to fulfill my fantasy of jumping off of the boat dock into the water.

The water was the highest it has been since the terrible drought.

We celebrated Memorial Day and Fourth of July

with food, family and spectacular views.

There is always something to see.

Crazy, Texas sized bugs

and birds we don't get in the city.

It's been rainy and overcast today.
The hot weather needed to last one more day because I would have floated one more time.

I know how blessed we are to be able to come spend weekends at this beautiful place.
I'm sending out a special thank you to my brother and his wife for their generous hospitality.

I'm sad that water season is over but winter at the lake creates opportunities for fires in the fire pit, long weekends reading, shopping or napping
and
we might finally get to see the bald eagles that spend the winter out here.
I'll let you know if that happens!

  1. What a gorgeous place they have on the water! We've seen oodles of bald eagles this summer, and had I known where they'd be wintering, I'd have told them to say hi.

  3. You are so lucky and the place is so pretty. Reminds me of the movie The Lakehouse.
