I've been blessed to strike up some friendships with some other Texas bloggers.
We are virtual friends but have gotten to know each other in our living, breathing world as well.
Last month we were invited to visit the home of
Jemma from At Home with Jemma.
Her home in the country is absolutely darling.
I was completely smitten with the walls in the powder room
and her planked ceiling in the kitchen too.
Don't you love that chandelier and vent hood?
She and I are backsplash twins.
The amazing KariAnne from Thistlewood Farm was there.
She spent about an hour sharing some blogging tips.
I learned so much about blog monetization from her that I decided to go for it and have some advertising on Let's Add Sprinkles.
Hoffman California International Fabrics.
Laura from Decor to Adore made a darling craft bag that included fabric samples and craft supplies.
She then showed us some things she was able to create using a KariAnne's Sweet Tea charm pack.
What is a charm pack?
A charm pack is a collection of sample squares from a line of fabrics.
She created a darling bunting from the cute squares of fabrics.
Judith from Botanic Blue shared another craft using dictionary pages and stamp art.
I'll show you that in another post.
In
a small world moment we have discovered that Judith was the
assistant principal at my children's school when they were there.
It's been fun getting to know her.
The Sweet Tea Challenge was issued by Carole from Garden Up Green.
In minutes we were all in.
We would take our Hoffman charm packs designed by KariAnne and create a project.
We'll blog about our projects and link them together all on KariAnne's blog.
How fun is this?
I've been busy creating my project before my post about it goes live next week.
Please pop back in to check it out.

ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I'm hoping to meet up soon with one of my faves in a few weeks for the first meet! Looks like loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Katie,
ReplyDeleteWasn't it such a fun day, I think about it often and feel all energized once again!
Thank you for sharing snippets of my home and including all of us in this post, so thoughtful of you.
I am working on my project too, can't wait to see what everyone is up to!

Katie,
ReplyDeleteMeeting KariAnne and hearing her encouraging words were great, but no more great than spending time with fellow bloggers like you. I love small world moments! One of the great joys of being a teacher is meeting and re-meeting students and their families over the years. Your photos tell the story of the day in a great way. Thank you for including a shout out to Botanic Bleu. Looking forward to more fun days...
