Many thanks to Cindy of County Road 407 for putting this challenge together. She has such a fun blog and she is a fun blogger. We did challenges like this when blogging was new and I loved it. I'm thrilled to be a part of this blog event.
Our inspiration photo is by Lisa @asimplystylednest.
I wanted to create my display in our dining room. It's the first room that people see when they come in the house. We didn't have a tall enough rabbit for the centerpiece, so I headed to the thrift store.
They had the perfect rabbit. I wanted a rabbit similar to one that was in the Pottery Barn catalogue.

This one had a perfect look but it was a little too weathered or rustic for me so it got a coat of charcoal craft paint. It was only $7.00.
My favorite florals this spring are some $97 cent lavender picks from Walmart.
They are super affordable and they look pretty good for faux.

Carrots were added to the display instead of eggs.
Here is another version with a flower box that I made a few weeks ago.
These boxes are so easy to make and they are super cute for spring. You're not shocked that I chose to paint it white.
The rabbit looks like he's surveying his row of carrots in this one.
This was so much fun. Hop on over to Lora B. Create and Ponder. I just love darling her blog.
Look for the other participants in the list below.
Please got to Lisa's Instgram account and tell her hello. She will appreciate it if you pin from her account and not this blog post.
Thanks for stopping by.

I love your centerpiece Katie! You always find the best things at your thrift shop. Truly lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour centerpiece looks gorgeous! That bunny is a great find. Your whole dining room is amazing. Lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring!
Katie, I love this centerpiece. The purple with the pops of orange is so pretty. And yes, it does look like he is surveying his carrots! :-) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI like both versions of your centerpiece but I think that my favorite is the one on the charcuterie board your husband made. Your dining room is so pretty - Love the wallpaper!
ReplyDeleteYour white box is cute, but I really love that wood slab your hubs made! Your bunny was a score; love him! Wonderful texture in your centerpiece and love the addition of carrots!
ReplyDeleteLove your bunny warming itself in the sun! Love both of your displays, Katie!!! What a great idea to repaint your bunny. The bunny I used for my display needs its ears re-cemented and could use a bit of a spring refresh...
ReplyDeleteOff and hopping,
Barb :)
Katie, I love both centerpieces. What a perfect centerpiece to have during the Easter season. I don't know which one I like better. Your bunny is adorable also. Love your take on the inspirational photo.
ReplyDeleteVERY CUTE I wish we had a big enough thrift store I could just run over to and find something like your bunny
ReplyDeleteSo very cute!!! You totally scored on that rabbit and the gray paint is perfect. I love how you gave us 2 different options. I need to whip up one of those boxes!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that bunny and both of your versions! So springy and perfect for the entire season. I want some of those carrots! Thank you for joining in today.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you painted the rabbit charcoal. I don't think I would have thought of that but it's perfect! Love the long box and lavender with the carrots. Super cute, Katie!
ReplyDeleteSo easy and lovely, Katie! Love how you created it on such a small budget, too!
ReplyDeleteSuch a stately bunny! I like him best on the board made for you.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute. I've been buying some of that lavender too but I only got a few clumps and my Walmart hasn't had any since. I guess the word got around. :-D I like both versions a lot but that charcuterie board sure is unique and that always grabs my attention.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your displays are just darling, Katie! The thrifted bunny turned out so cute, and I love those Wal Mart picks. Great Job!
ReplyDeletethe bunny ... your choice of flowers ... the table runner ... all beautiful
ReplyDeleteCute as can be, Katie!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet!
