Keep In Touch #117

Welcome to Keep In Touch.
I hope that you had a great week.
We had a busy weekend. Bill helped me with some projects.

We've wanted a counter to go over the tops of our front load washer and dryer. We use this area as a butler's pantry when we get to entertain.
It's a perfect project since we are staying home.

The side is going to be white. Bill has to attach it for me.

I worked in the garden. Read about it here
The consensus is that we call it the Woodland Realm.
I got one of the beds planted today.

We did some chipping and shredding on Saturday night.
Everything looks so good except the area I call the Burmuda triangle.
That area still needs the briar cleaned up.
We need to make another large bed out of the fallen logs.
We need to hang our porch swing.
Eventually, Bill will build us a compost bin. There was one out there years ago but it had fallen apart. That was one of the reasons that I started this project in the first place.
Last week I found a darling chippy bench at an antique store.
Bill helped me restore it.
We finished it last Saturday.
One of the benefits of Bill working from home is that he has more time at the end of the day since he doesn't have an hour commute. The commute just exhausted him and he was too tired to do anything.
We had everything on hand to complete it.

Now let's see what you have been up to.

This is the second time I've seen these sunflower plates from Dollar Tree. Amazing find.
I love this tablescape from Love My Little Cottage.
I love Rub and Buff. Cindy at Cloches and Lavender transformed some frames and created a gorgeous vignette in a thrifted urn.

  7. Hi Katie, I'm so glad Bill can skip the commute. And you have been so productive outside, which can't be easy in this horrendous heat. Take care, drink water! Love the butler's pantry!

  9. Here I am again, Katie, better late than never. You have accomplished so many great jobs and I don't even have that excuse. Going to PT and worrying about strange people touching my body is excuse enough! Love the garden in the woods and the little wattle planter. So many cute spotlights this time and I see what I missed by not getting out to the Dollar Tree..Stay well and thanks for hosting...xxoJudy
