Welcome to Keep In Touch. I hope you are doing well.
It's gardening season so I've been super busy in the yard.
The storm damaged plants are removed except for one ligustrum. It's by the trash bins so I never go over there. Haha.
My tulips have been so pretty.
We got some stuff done out in East Texas.
My raised beds are ready for seeds now that we've moved a million wheel barrows full of soil.
The dirt mound doesn't look that big but it is 6 cubic yards of dirt or a dump truck full.
I was exhausted after all that.
Our dogwoods were gorgeous.
We made a dump run on Saturday morning. Bill worked like crazy on the cabin the rest of the day.
He's almost got the bathroom removed. I was too tired and sore to walk out there to get some pictures. I'll get some this weekend for our next update. I will say that I'm a tad disappointed in how extensive the damage is. Bill is still undecided about what to do out there. He still would like a bathroom and kitchen.
We may not know until it's down to the shell if that is possible.
The cabin is the little green building. You can see in this image how it relates to the house.
I tried priming the trim but got buzzed by carpenter bees. Good times!
They look almost like a bumble bee but they are not!
Carpenter bees like unpainted wood and bore into wood to lay eggs. The former owners of this property were on my naughty list on Saturday.
On Sunday we were going to go to church for the first time in a year but I had some sort of stomach situation.
A stray dog wandered onto our property on Sunday afternoon. Annie had a collar so we were able to meet some neighbors that live down the road a little. We chatted with them for a little while out on the driveway. They have lived out there about two years and are about our age.
We hope to have dinner with them soon. I think the Lord sent Annie our way.
I blogged about our spring decor at the East Texas house.
Now for the features.
I love this bunny mosaic plate by Jeannie @ Selep Imaging. It's so creative!
The House On Silverado shares her home decorated for spring. I love the kitchen but the green chair is adorable.
That's all for now!
Have a wonderful week.
Katie
Katie, I'm so impressed with the cottage work. That cabin must be a bear -- those carpenters are terrible. But you'll be fine. Everything looks so cute! Happy Easter Week.

I'm late this week. Yes, I know about carpenter bees they are relentless! Praying your sweet kitty rallies. Ours are both 17 and have health issues. It's hard seeing them decline. Have a wonderful Easter Weekend!
