Easter In The Garden Room/Easter Blog Hop

Hi, Friends,
How are you? I hope that you are doing well and that you are staying encouraged.

Welcome to the Celebrating Easter Mini Blog Hop hosted by the lovely Amber of Follow The Yellow Brick Home.
Easter has snuck up on me this year so I'm glad that Amber has afforded us this opportunity to share a little more Easter inspiration with you. You may still have time to do a little decorating before Sunday.

If you are coming from Our Southern Home, welcome. Christy's home always looks gorgeous no matter the season or holiday. I hope you enjoyed her centerpiece and her last minute decorating ideas.

Our garden room always gets a bit of seasonal and holiday decor. This room is in its prime during the spring. My seeds, gardening books, and tender plants all take up residence in this room. A little Easter decor sprinkled in makes it a perfect reading and napping spot on a spring day.

I have a few vintage infant nursery planters. Nursery planters usually have adorable motifs that are perfect for Easter. This rabbit planter is one of my favorite bits of holiday decor. Even in a year when I'm not into a lot of Easter decor, this guy is always on display.

He's holding some broken pieces of china. I found these in an old trash pile on some property in Colorado. I had hoped we'd find a vintage trash pile on our new country property but our acreage may not have been the original homesite. We just found trash instead of charming remnants from past residents.

Two cherished antique postcards are stuck in a metal flower frog.
Flower frogs make perfect stands for old ephemera.

A thrifted vegetable dish from Portugal echos the green of the nursery planter. The majolica theme continues with the little floral pitcher which was an eBay find last summer.
The chalkware rabbit was only $1.99 at the thrift a few years ago.

I'm in love with The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden. Each month is such a treat.

I made a black and white spring putz cottage last year.

Bill made this hutch for me when we were only married a few years. His skills have improved quite a bit but I won't let him get rid of it. I love it too much.

Plants wait for some time outside once warmer weather is here to stay.

Bill gave me the goose years and years ago. It was white ceramic and it had seen better days. The ceramic had started to chip off in some spots because I left it out in the garden. I mixed baking soda with chalk paint and gave him a bit of a concrete look.
I'd seen several YouTube videos using this technique and it worked. I think it's extended its life for a few more years.

I rarely have it all cleaned up but you can see how the garden room relates to the living space out on the deck.

A raspberry laden bunny pillow rests on the couch surrounded by fun quilts in spring colors. I've been into quilts lately. Do you remember when the price for an old quilt was astronomical? They are affordable once again.

The pink patchwork quilt was only $24.00. I found it the other day at my favorite thrift store.

The spool table next to the couch holds an assortment of plants.
The bunny is from Hobby Lobby.

It was fun that my Christmas cactus bloomed again.

The spool table is one of my favorite garage sale finds for only $5.00.
Do I say that about every garage sale find?

The opposite corner of the room got a few bits too.

I didn't have a frame for the rabbit print so he's attached to the antique screen with magnets.

More flower frogs hold seed packets. I adore displaying seed packets and if they are vintage, they are such a treasure.

A dapper duckling nursery planter hitches a ride in a green pick up.

My seeds are stored in this vintage chest from my great grandparent's.
The dog toys hide under the cat's blanket because our pets have stuff too. Haha.

I really wish that I had more furniture in this wonderful golden color.

There you have it. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Be sure to stop by My Thrift Store Addiction to see what Cecilia has to share for Good Friday.
