New Fence Reveal

Hiring a contractor to do something is stressful. Hiring a contractor to build a fence is triple the stress because two of the neighbors are involved.
The neighbor had a repair done to her back fence.
She recommended him to do the repairs on our adjoining fence.
I called. He came out in about an hour.
He gave us a quote. We okayed it with the neighbors. We signed a contract.
The crew was supposed to show up on Monday morning. It rained.
We are literally in the middle of a drought and it rained. I was happy about the rain. I was not happy that it delayed the crew for a day because all the fencing was wet.
I was a stress bucket.
I don't know if you know this about me, I get stressed out about ridiculous stuff.

Tuesday morning they showed up and they got to work. I breathed a sigh of relief.

They finished the east side the first day. They finished the west side the next day.
Since we are the dog owners, we've had to patch and repair as needed in order to keep a dog in.
We haven't had all new fences with repaired gates since we moved in 1993.
Our old dog, Mike was an escape artist. We had to do some creative and not always attractive things to keep him in the yard.
I never thought I'd be so excited about a new fence.

Here is a before collage:

Here are some photos of the new fencing:
Here is the east side.

He stained my existing gate.

The west side.

This is the utility side of the yard.
We have gates on both sides of the yard. This is one of our best ideas.

It was stressful but the east side neighbor is happy.
The west side neighbor is out of town. I can't wait to see what she thinks.

It's a clean backdrop for my secret garden.
Thanks for looking.

Home Tour

Welcome to our home!
We live in a typical suburban tract home.
Our house was built in 1990 and we have been working to remove some builder grade features.
Come on in.
This is the entryway.
To the left is the dining room.
Down the hall to the right is the office/guest room.

There is a full bath to the left.

The living room is to the right of the entry.

To the left is my cute updated kitchen.
Beyond the kitchen is the sunroom.
The laundry is to the left of the kitchen.

Let's head on upstairs.
Our gallery wall of family.
The master bedroom is to the right.
The master bath remodel

The gameroom to the left.
We have two bedrooms off of the game room.
Rebekah's room.
Jonnie's old room. Now it is called the scary doll room.
The kid's bath.
Finally the back yard.

There you have it.
Thanks for stopping in.
Hopefully, this will give you a better sense of the whole house.
