I broke down and bought some chalkboard paint and decided to try a few of the projects I have seen on pinterest. It was 16.00 for a quart.
Here are the projects I did.
flower pot
crate for my pantry project Here:
coffee mug $1.99 at Tuesday Morning
galvanized tub for pantry (I don't like the grape picture so I'll paint over it.)
I taped off the area I wanted to paint with scotch tape.
I painted one coat.
The crate came out cute and now holds popcorn.
I love the chip tub.
I am also wild about the flower pot.
I love the chip tub.
The coffee mug was a fail. It started to chip as soon as the paint was dry.

I've been inspired to keep adding touches around the house.
I have used almost every remnant of that little child's chalkboard in little gold frames.

I have one more to show you for my office, but I am doing some other memo boards for that room. I want to show them all at once.
I also got this adorable heart from Michael's
This antique spice cabinet from my grandparents is really one of my favorite things. I love hanging seasonal stuff on the pulls.
My paperwhites should bloom in a few days. I think this is my favorite of the bunch! Have fun creating some chalkboard magic for yourself.
Sprinkled with chalkboard love,

ReplyDeleteThank you. They were fun.
DeleteLove the chalk paint ideas, but I was so excited to see that you have a plate perched on your window sill with the brown transferware that is the china pattern that I am collecting. Alfred Meakin...love it...Thanx for sharing. I am you newest follower. Please stop by my blog palace sometimes. Tiffany
ReplyDeleteI love brown transferware as well. It is sometimes hard to find but worth the hunt. I would love to stop by your blog. :)
