Mr. Bill was out of town this past weekend. I decided to organize some Christmas stuff and to get some decorating inspiration for the holiday season. I pinned away on
Pinterest.
I pulled out my stash of Christmas magazines.
I have gone a little over the top for the past few years.
It was a way to mask the sadness over
events in my life.
Here.
Here.
But, the clutter really got to me by the time Christmas day arrived.
I started putting things away as soon as Christmas dinner was cleaned up.
I hate that.
I did come up with a plan.
We recently re-did the kitchen.
It feels like I just got everything back in place, so I don't want too much out and about.
I plan on using greens clipped from my yard, Christmas candy and a few of my cottages.
These vintage pieces will end up somewhere.
I have been soaking in the inspiration and some of the bargains will fit right in.
I stopped in at Target and had a look at the decorations.
I would love to preserve some boxwoods.
We cut down our boxwood hedge last summer, so I will have to find a friend that has some.
What inspires you?
A few more weeks and things will all be in place.

I love the fresh look of these apples in my greenware bowl.

The cutest thing I found was this cottage.
I didn't get it, but I love it.

So cute Katie! I love the pitcher with the fresh greens and berries. I will be doing that this year too. Thanks for sharing.
