The chair was continually in the way.
I ended up doing my makeup with stuff perched on the edge of the granite. It wasn't a great situation.
A few weeks ago I finally got serious about a solution.
I found this dressing table at a local antique mall and
it was a pretty good match for our existing furniture but
I wanted something I could paint.
Check out what I've been pinning here.
A two toned effect ties it all together.
This isn't the mirror that came with the vanity. This one mimics the lines on the headboard. It's a better match for the room.
The little junky dresser got a coat of paint as well.
This little dresser was a $40.00 flea market find when I was fresh out of college. It's been moved around this house more times than I can say.
The white paint has made me fall in love with it all over again.
Not sure if I like the details on the drawer fronts or not.
I love it.

Your new vanity turned out lovely - really love the wood top with painted bottom. I had to smile when I saw your makeup mirror, I have one exactly like it, have had it for a zillion years, & still use it daily - it's amazing that the bulbs have never blown out.
