Garden Room Changes

Hi everybody,
I hope you are enjoying these last few days of 2014.
I started putting away our Christmas stuff. The big tree will stay up until New Year's Day but the little trees are all taken down and put away.
The sunroom looked a little sparse without the white fluffy tree.

I'd been thinking about an idea for a while and decided to give it a try.
It didn't make any sense that we had a plant stand (baker's rack) outside when we needed the storage inside for plants.

I cleaned it off, cleaned it up and dragged it inside.

Oh my. It's so cute.

Do you know what it reminds me of?

Debra @ Common Ground had a sunporch at her old house.

The baker's rack looks cute with the new white paint and white valances.

The white corrugated tin ceiling provides nice texture for the monochromatic scheme.

We are able to use this room all year.
We have a window unit air conditioner in the summer and space heaters in the winter.

Now we have room for the plants and a few bird trinkets.

Changing things around gets me invigorated for the
post holiday doldrums.

Look for more photos of this room soon.
Thanks for stopping by.

  4. you're right! it really does remind me of Debra's sun porch. I love it! the little lamp on it adds just enough light too. I will be taking down my décor on New Years Day. I decided since I didn't have a lot of "cutsie" Christmas stuff like Santas etc that I could live with mine up a little longer.

The shelving unit is, indeed, very similar to Debra's!!!
