Let's recap 2015.
Bill and I are slowing down in the DIY department because over the course of the last four years we have touched almost every surface of this home.
We were able to do a few fun things to the house, however.
Here are my favorite projects of the year.
We were able to do a few fun things to the house, however.
Here are my favorite projects of the year.
The exterior shutters had been on the list for years.
They were worth the wait because Bill did such a good job.
They are so stinking cute.
I love walking in and seeing the sparkling white tile.
This was less than $100.00.
Why didn't I do it years ago?
Separating the love seat and sofa was one of my better ideas.
The World Market chair went from modern to farmhouse with a slip cover.

I no longer feel that the living room seating arrangement is awkward and I'm enjoying the more comfortable loveseat in the garden room.
I may slipcover one of these so that no one notices that these were a set.
The headboard that I made out of the crib side rail is
one of my all time favorite projects.
Bill didn't have to help so I learned some new skills in the process.
I love making up this bed for different seasons.
The laundry room board and batten wall was fun.
The room bathed in white paint makes it feel so fresh and clean.
This was one of the few remaining rooms that still had popcorn.
There is only one room left and some closets.
So what is next for Let's Add Sprinkles?
We've cleaned out our closets and all unworn clothing has been purged.
Before they get filled again, I'm going to scrape the popcorn off of those ceilings.
Mine may be reconfigured.
I'm so short that I've never been able to reach the top rung of clothing.
What is new in your neck of the woods?
Thanks for stopping in.
Katie

Happy 2016 ~ FlowerLady
You are always so busy! I really admire all that you accomplish.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to be caught up with most of your home repairs and remodeling projects! I have a long list on ours. Since my husband is finally retiring, I hope to be able to get more stuff done around here. He was always gone and working before. I love all of the projects that you did. You have the prettiest laundry room too! I would love to have one that was photo worthy.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great! I'm thinking about using the tub and tile refinishing kit. My husband will actually have to do it because I have several health issues and can't tolerate fumes. How long til it aired out? I love your bedroom!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home and it sounds as though you have worked very hard to make it so!
ReplyDeleteVery inspirational post!
