12 Crafts of Christmas/ #5 Car And Tree Pillow

Okay, I know I've already showed you a pillow. This pillow is almost "no-sew".
You will love it.
In fact, I think some of you will be heading to Target as soon as you finish reading this post.

I had a gift card to Target.
I have a confession to make. I'm a little bit of a gift card hoarder.
I squirrel them away like nuts in a hollow oak tree.
It was time to spend.
Unless you have been in a foreign land or you are living in a cave, you have probably seen a cute trend to have trees tied to a vehicle of some sort.
This type of graphic is everywhere and I wanted a pillow with it. I could have painted something but then I'd probably be too embarrassed to display it.
This placemat appeared in my line of vision at Target.

It was 25% off.
The placemat was lined so there was no need to sew a back onto it.

A seam ripper was used to open up the bottom row of thread.

All it needed was a little stuffing and a quick whip stitch to close it back up.

Tada!
Are you serious right now?
How cute is this?
Run to Target before these are gone.

It isn't Christmas without your rainboots in a display (even though it isn't raining.)

This is adorable.
Do you think?
Hello? Hello? Where are you?
Oh, you're at Target!
Come see me when you return.

The sweater pillow came from Pier 1.
You guessed it. It was another gift card.

Creating Christmas is still going on.
Stop by My Thrift Store Addiction to see a tablescape with her Jadeite and other collectables.
Adorable. Link your collections at the end of that post.
Here is Day 1 and Day 2 in case you have missed them.
You all are the best. I appreciate each and every reader.
I'm thrilled to say that I have finally hit the million page view mark.
Please keep reading and tell your friends about my crazy blogging, decorating, collecting, and crafting life.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the season.

  1. I love this! I haven't even been to Target this Christmas season. Looks like a short trip is going to happen. I'm about 40 miles from the nearest one. Gotta go!!

  9. Katie,
I was just in Target this afternoon and walked down the placemat aisle, but did not see this one. This is such a clever project. Great job.
