Prayers For Texas

Hi all,
I'm just checking in.
I want to let you know that we are fine. We are 400 miles from the Texas coast.

The beautiful, Texas coast that is being hammered by Harvey.

So we are sending our thoughts and prayers to those in the path of the hurricane.
The rain from this event is supposed to be catastrophic.

Flooding is an acute danger once the winds die down.
Be safe, Texans!
Thanks for joining me in prayer.
Katie

Update: The storm has finally moved out of our area, away from the coast of Texas and Louisiana.
It is horrific.
Please consider how you might help.

  2. We drove by a construction site on HWY 75 just north of Dallas yesterday. Got chocked up when I saw all the equipment and trucks, etc. were being lined up in a convoy headed south. Must've been 20 vehicles and haulers staged to go! Texas really knows how to take care of their own and lend help to others. I salute our wonderful state. Walmart trucks already loaded with water and food and headed down.

  7. I am with you in prayer Katie! We have both friends and family members near the Texas coast. They know our doors here at Storybook Cottage are open to them. We are specifically praying that the levees hold.
