New Fence Reveal

Hiring a contractor to do something is stressful. Hiring a contractor to build a fence is triple the stress because two of the neighbors are involved.
The neighbor had a repair done to her back fence.
She recommended him to do the repairs on our adjoining fence.
I called. He came out in about an hour.
He gave us a quote. We okayed it with the neighbors. We signed a contract.
The crew was supposed to show up on Monday morning. It rained.
We are literally in the middle of a drought and it rained. I was happy about the rain. I was not happy that it delayed the crew for a day because all the fencing was wet.
I was a stress bucket.
I don't know if you know this about me, I get stressed out about ridiculous stuff.

Tuesday morning they showed up and they got to work. I breathed a sigh of relief.

They finished the east side the first day. They finished the west side the next day.
Since we are the dog owners, we've had to patch and repair as needed in order to keep a dog in.
We haven't had all new fences with repaired gates since we moved in 1993.
Our old dog, Mike was an escape artist. We had to do some creative and not always attractive things to keep him in the yard.
I never thought I'd be so excited about a new fence.

Here is a before collage:

Here are some photos of the new fencing:
Here is the east side.

He stained my existing gate.

The west side.

This is the utility side of the yard.
We have gates on both sides of the yard. This is one of our best ideas.

It was stressful but the east side neighbor is happy.
The west side neighbor is out of town. I can't wait to see what she thinks.

It's a clean backdrop for my secret garden.
Thanks for looking.

  2. Hi Katie,
The fence looks really great. They did a great job for you. I remember your big tub pool when you first put that up and the greenhouse is so sweet. Love it. Happy 4th of July week.

  3. Looks good, Katie! We are looking for a new fence and it is very stressful to decide. Vinyl lasts forever but it will never be as pretty as our wood fence. We haven't decided. We may just have the wood treated and get wood gates.

Glad it was just two days of stress!

  8. Fence sections are currently becoming performed at the very top web site. Within indirect walls or in sloping landscape, the fence field upper advantage always runs parallel down. Since the verticals are always vertical, a fence sections tend to be performed in case of require like a parallelogram.
