Can someone please remind me what day it is?
I was cleaning up the kitchen and realized that I completely forgot about Keep In Touch.
I apologize in advance for not picking features. I have spent the day organizing pictures to take to my mom's house.
Grief makes me so forgetful.
Grief makes me so forgetful.
Can you believe this cute picture? My aunt texted it to me. How cute she was.
Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my post about her passing. It brings such comfort to me.
Going through photos has been so helpful.
I am really doing pretty well. Mom's illness was diagnosed last November so we had quite a bit of warning. Time enough to tie up all the lose ends. We had time to say goodbye.
She didn't want any treatments. She didn't want us to really talk about it so I told some close friends and that is it.
She was really ready to go.
I actually had so many worries about her being alone when she died. My brother and his wife were on their way and she died 30 minutes before they got there. Her caregiver was by her side.
She just went to sleep.
She was uncomfortable but she wasn't in a tremendous amount of pain.
All blessings and answers to prayer.
I got to speak to her on the phone that afternoon.
I feel so much peace knowing that she is healed.
Thank you for your prayers.
Her service is Friday in Tulsa.
I appreciate your prayers as we all travel to Oklahoma.

I understand your grief, Katie, after losing my mom last October. I admire your mom for not having treatments, and happy to know that she died peacefully in her sleep. God bless you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI am ALWAYS late, but I wanted to tell you that I have walked in your moccasins! Pretty much the same story including my brother arriving about an hour after my Mom passed away. So sad, and yet what a glorious future they both have!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you,
