Keep In Touch #110

Hi Friends,
Welcome to Keep In Touch.
I am so glad you are here. I appreciate every one of you.

I blogged five times in the last week. That might be a new record.
I'll link them down below with the party.

I was so inspired by the old book blog hop that the holiday cupboard is no longer the holiday cupboard. I don't know where I'll put the vintage holiday items but this cupboard is now more library like with old books and mementos. There are a few china bits but it didn't make sense to have mostly china when this piece isn't in the dining or breakfast rooms.
I'll photograph is for you soon.

I spent a lovely evening reading Le Cultivateur. I love Emily's vignettes. It motivated me to get a redo of this cupboard going.

We had a good Mother's Day. I hope you did as well.
Two of our kids came over and we sat in the backyard. We had a delicious brunch and chatted with our oldest by Facetime.

My brother and sister in law did a drive by visit the next day. It was a surprise. It's been wonderful seeing people in real life even if we are six feet apart.

I ran out of white thread so I did venture out.
I finally found a mask situation that works for me and stays on.
Just FYI, Hobby Lobby has senior shopping hours from 9-10 a.m. It was so much fun being in a store. I felt safer there than at the grocery store. Only about four employees were working. They were in masks.
Now for the features.

I love sloppy Joes. I will be trying this recipe from Heritage Home.  It's a great camping meal during shelter in place.

I adore this headboard. I would love to give ours an update.

That's it for now.
Have a great week.
Katie

  1. I love seeing your decor, Katie. I’ve been to Hobby Lobby, too. I didn’t know about senior hours there. I appreciate that! Thanks for hosting your party for us. I’m glad that you had a nice Mother’s Day. I did, too.

  3. Katie,
I have to try to add some vintage books to my decor...I have a box of them that I had put away for crafting!! I finally took down Easter...I was in no hurry and according to the Catholic church, they celebrate Easter for 50 days afterward so I figured I was good..I will decorating the Living Room for the Patriotic Holidays of the Summer and I am looking forward to that because I did not get to do so last year because of my surgery....
Thanks so much for hosting each week!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,
    Debbie

  4. Thank you so much for featuring my Homemade Sloppy Joe Sauce recipe. It's a staple in our house, and because I can home-can it, it's a wonderful "make ahead" sauce.
Thank you for hosting. Have a wonderful week!
