The She's Not Scared Of It Shed

Hi Friends,
I thought I'd pop in and show you some styling of the she shed. Ooops. It's not supposed to be a she shed.

Early this year, Bill got a bee in his britches. He wanted to tear down the shed and get a new one.
We looked at sheds in February.
Our shed has to fit in the footprint of the current shed. Bill thought that the gambrel type of roof made our shed less functional than a shed with straight sides. We would gain a lot of head room if the walls went up to a normal slant roof.
Our shed was dark, dirty, and scary so I acquiesced.
Last summer, I had a burning desire to clean out the shed and paint the interior but last summer's plans fell apart when we went house hunting.
Eventually we decided to stay and update our floors and the shed makeover got pushed to the back burner.

After the stupid virus hit us with stay at home orders, we ditched the new shed idea.
I've been spending a lot of time out in the yard to cope with the stupid virus which meant I had to enter the shed.
The garden tools were on the left side in bins. The longer tools hit the roof when we tried to get them out. There was a plethora of dirt dauber nests along the roof line. There was also lizard poop.
I suggested putting the tools on the back wall. Bill liked that idea. He wanted to start over with shelving too. We donned the appropriate safety gear and gutted it.
What are those stains????

We got a Wagner Power Sprayer and gave the whole thing a coat of clean white paint.

This was so much better already.
He crafted some new racks to hold the tools.

He built some new shelves. I painted those white too.
I just couldn't help myself. I had to pretty it up a bit.
Would you like to see?

The shelves hold things we need but I put them in cute containers.
They also got some pictures, my seed box, and some cute vintage garden tools.

The rose prints were thrifted a long time ago. The garden sign is new.

The gray color on the broom handle is really pretty.

The other side of the shed got a vintage typewriter desk. It also got cute accessories and plants.

One of my first spring projects was the irradication of Asian Jasmine.
The wreath is made from the vines. I love how it dried.

The stool got a coat of Sweet Pickins Milk Paint in Oh Olive. I ordered it from Jami Ray Vintage
You can check them out on YouTube too. I love their channel.

My favorite thing is this darling little frame with the rose print.
I got the print from Graphic's Fairy. The frame held a picture of my great grandmother. I took her out and put her with the other family photos.
The frame is adorable with it's chippy black paint.

We still have to install the farmhouse light, sky lights and vents.
This is already so much brighter. I can't wait to see how bright it will be.
Thanks for stopping by.
