Keep In Touch #119

Hi Friends,
Welcome to an brief version of Keep In Touch.

I missed the tomato and got my finger instead.
Ouch.

There was a moment when Bill and I were afraid it might need a stitch.
I had to do blood work two weeks ago and that caused me brief concern.
I certainly didn't want to go to a clinic for this.

I haven't really cried about this stupid virus. Bill and I miss our children and we miss hanging out with friends but we haven't been impacted overly much. I have moments of grief and sadness for what we are all experiencing. Others have been impacted far more that we have. There are blessings but there is also loss. Debating the safety of going for blood work and stitches is a byproduct of the new reality.
It makes me mad.
I've had several suggestions that I should super glue it.
Have you ever done that?

Let me pick the features and get this posted.

I love this statue rescue. How fun is this from Amber at Follow The Yellow Brick Home?

I would love some free garden stuff!

I loved this post by Debbie Dabble. Her garden tea party tree is adorable. I love these teacup nests.

Thanks everyone for linking up last week. I appreciate you all so much.

  2. Ouch Katie, keep an eye on it, but don't be afraid to go get a stitch. I've had to do several dr. appts. and the surgery, and everyone is super careful. I really enjoyed your last post on the garden statuary! Thanks for hosting the party. I always enjoy coming over to visit!

  3. Ouch Katie on your poor finger! I hope it heals quickly. I did have something glued, but I later wished it had been stitched. Thanks for hosting your party and take care.

  4. Ouch is right Katie, they sell liquid band-aid which is like a glue but safer, try that if you can.

I miss my dad and my best friend which is like my sister. It's horrible we can see our loved ones.

  6. I can't weigh in on the super glue but loads of good luck. Looks painful. The garden, on the other hand, looks great!

  7. Sorry about your finger. It is always something right?!!! My mom has been sick and needed some tests at the hospital and I was having anxiety taking her there for these tests. It will be so great when they finally get a vaccine. It can be depressing some days when we think about our family that we miss. Hugs. Kris

  8. Oh my goodness, sorry about your finger ! That must've been so hurtful too.
Well, my husband and me contracted COVIC-19. It took me almost four weeks to recuperate and I am free of it now. Husband needs to wait a week or two more. We didn't have any strange symptoms at all. We actually had a normal time and hubby just lost 9his taste and smell. Asides from that, nothing much.
Wish this virus was over though. I hate to hear some people are dying. But most recuperate just fine. They say we will all get it one day.
    Thank you for hosting.
Have a lovely rest of the week.

  9. Katie, So sorry about your finger. I know what you mean about the virus. We really haven't been impacted by it either, just a little inconvenience but going to the labs or other appointments does make you stop and think. I am doing PT and I can't wait for it to be over. I feel everyone that I interact with is safe but it is not a pleasant experience nevertheless..Stay well..xxoJudy

  10. Oh my word, Katie, that looks so painful! You are definitely going to the top of my prayer list for sure. I'm super sorry it even happened. I've never tried super glue but my Dad had surgery on his hand about a year ago and he used sugar (and antibotics of course) to help his wound heal. I hope you're able to heal well too. Don't be afraid to reach out to your doctor if you need it. Hugs, CoCo

  11. Oh noooo Katie - ouch! Boy I completely understand what you mean. I have been putting so many doctor appointments off due to fear of getting Covid.

My husband always does the super glue trick and it does work - he hardly ever scars.

I don't know if you can so long after the cut though. Oh and acidic tomato juice had to sting too - you poor thing.

Prayers for a trouble free fast healing. Thank you for hosting. I am excited to be joining in the fun this time. : - )
