Hearth and Hand With Magnolia at Target

I don't know if you follow Liz Marie, you should.
She had a post last Sunday about a new line of home decor items sold at Target in collaboration with Magnolia Home.
Somehow I missed all the hype about this line.

The Hearth and Hand With Magnolia collection is darling.

Hearth and Hand at Target

There are adorable kitchen and dining accessories.

I loved the brass and mirrored trays.

How cute are these goat bookends?

T
There were so many cute things for Christmas.
It has a bit of a Nordic feel.

This color scheme is perfect for our home.

I can't wait to show you what I got.
I was so glad that I held onto gift cards from last Christmas.
Get to Target as quickly as you can.

Rumors About Fixer Upper on HGTV

I'm not sure why anyone would start a rumor like this but it was circulating around the internet that Chip and Joanna Gaines were taking temporary retirement from making T.V.

According to Chip's Twitter feed it is a rumor.

Joanna reiterated the same thing on her Instagram.

They are currently filming Season 4.
It is slated to air sometime in the late fall. Last year their season aired over Christmas and they had a Christmas episode which was fun.

According to Joanna, they have 4 crews working on 8 houses.

Chip and Jo stop by each one each day to do a little filming and to check up on the progress.

They have just opened the garden shop at The Silos and Magnolia Market.

They have also recently opened their bakery.

I seriously doubt that they would stop making the show at this point.

I believe they know that the whims of the populace dictate their popularity.
Hopefully, they are capitalizing on the eventuality that they might fall out of favor.
If you don't believe me, ask Candace Olson. Her show was vastly popular and now?
Not so much.
I'm so glad it was just an internet rumor because I love Fixer Upper and I don't want to see it go the way of some of my other favorite shows.
That's all for now!

Magnolia Market Haul

How is everybody?

I thought I'd show you what we got at Magnolia Market at the Silos.

I spotted this pillow and knew that it would be the perfect springboard for a summer bedroom look.

Yellow is not one of the colors in my stash of decor items but I've wanted to try it for a while.

I loved this hobnail vase.
Typically this is a vintage style is seen in milk glass but this is a perfect little yellow accent.
The little yellow Ranunculus is a perfect match.

Wreathes are signature Joanna Gaines so this one came home with us.

These two tin pieces are cute.
A cake stand is another Magnolia staple.

The vintage cursive poster was a must have for a teacher and it was only $4.00 or so.
It will end up in my classroom.

The world poster is for Bill's office.

We also popped into Harp Design Co.
It is the storefront owned by the furniture designer from the show.

We tried to pick up iconic Clint Harp designs.
We wanted something that you couldn't really get anywhere else.

Is the initial made from shiplap?
For some reason I doubt it but everything Clint Harp makes is from reclaimed lumber.

I'm thrilled to finally have a ladder for throws.
There you have it.
That's our haul.
I'll show where I put it all in another post.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Fixer Upper Returns in December

 I have some news!
According to Joanna's Blog; Fixer Upper returns on December 1st.
Fixer Upper Season 3
  I can't wait.
If you are like me and you've seen all the old ones, I know that you will be excited for some new episodes.
Set your DVRs.
You can follow the blog here to get some of the lastest news.
One of the main things I have
learned from her is to decorate with what I have.
Clippings from the yard have been a staple around here this year.

Genius, simple and free!

I'm thrilled to have a couple of things from her shop.

My sister in law got me the post office slot for my birthday.
It is adorable.

The metal leaf came from An Evening With Joanna Gaines
They haven't done another event like this so I'm glad we went.

You can follow her on instagram @ joannagaines or look for Joanna Stevens Gaines.
That is how I found out about her evening event last year.

I love this little faux Thanksgiving chalkboard message.
It looks fabulous with my Pottery Barn hand towel turned dish towel.

Please follow me on Pinterest and check out my Magnolia Home/Fixer Upper board.
I've searched the internet for Fixer Upper pins.
The newest pins are from her grand opening at the Silos.
Can you say road trip?
I'm less than two hours away.
I'll let you know if I can make it down there during the holidays.
FYI: If you are a Rehab Addict fan her new season is called Rehab Addict: Detroit.
My DVR didn't record the episodes because the name has been tweaked.
Have a great Friday.
I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday!

Fall Workshop With Joanna Gaines

A couple of the adorable moms at my school went to Baylor with Chip Gaines.
So when the pilot of Fixer Upper was made for HGTV, Baylor fans publicized it from the Baylor Proud webpage - here

I missed the pilot but I recorded the first episode of their first season and I was hooked.
HGTV has needed some new programing for a while and this is fabulous.

My brother, a Baylor alumni, ran into the couple at a fun shop in Waco called Laverty's Antiques and Furnishings.
If you have seen the show you might remember the episode where Chip stripped down to his skivvies and put on a tool belt. I think that was filmed inside Laverty's.
Dave said they were incredibly nice people.
(Nice people who don't cuss and scream at each other on T.V. That's a concept)
We love this show.
I've written about it here and here and I created a Pinterest board for images from the show and Joanna's blog.
See my pins here.
This board has tripled my number of Pinterest followers and lately it is the highest keyword entry statistic on my blog.

I love the episode where Chip wreaked his birthday jeep. It made me feel so much better about getting a dent in my brand new truck that was less than 24 hours old.
That was not my favorite day. How did that tree get there?

Joanna's Instagram had an announcement that she is having a workshop this fall in Waco.
Waco is less than two hours away so my sister in law and I are going.
I haven't been this excited since my brother, Rob and I, fist bumped Larry Hagman.

You might recognize my brother from his appearance on the Squawk Box on CNBC last Thursday.
Chances are you didn't see it, but I'm taking this as a perfect opportunity to brag about my little brother. ;)

We are all so proud of him.

The workshop is October 30th.
I'm not sure if it is tagged fall because it will be about fall decor or because it takes place during the fall.
Either way it should be tons of fun and you will hear all about it.
That is all the exciting news.
