I thought that I could do without a lamp for my new little table in the living room.
I was wrong.
I tried to create a vignette without one and it didn't feel right.
I love lamps.
I didn't want a mirrored lamp because I already had two in this room.
I wanted a white lamp.
So I thought I would try spray painting one.
I found the perfect candidate for a makeover at the thrift store.
It was a fairly new brushed brass lamp from Walmart.
I thought it had good bones and it was only $8.00.
I found the lampshade the same day.
It was $3.00.
I found the pitcher during an antiquing jaunt in the country.
I was amazed to see it was only $6.00.
I like the new vignette.
Spray paint is amazing.

What an adorable transformation! Your cozy little corner now looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love how it looks so cozy!
ReplyDelete...and just so you know...people, like me, do look at photos. (for one, I can't take a nice photo to save my life) but I LOVE THE vintage boxes on top of the book shelf in the first picture; and I also like the subtle change of the books! It makes the whole setting a bit more time worn, doesn't it.
clever trick. I've seen it--but not in this way. Now,I want to try it myself.
thanks for sharing your new lamp and thrift store finds. Pat
