Little White Lamp

I thought that I could do without a lamp for my new little table in the living room.

I was wrong.
I tried to create a vignette without one and it didn't feel right
I love lamps.
I didn't want a mirrored lamp because I already had two in this room.

I wanted a white lamp.
So I thought I would try spray painting one.
I found the perfect candidate for a makeover at the thrift store.
It was a fairly new brushed brass lamp from Walmart.

I thought it had good bones and it was only $8.00.

I found the lampshade the same day.

It was $3.00.

I found the pitcher during an antiquing jaunt in the country.
I was amazed to see it was only $6.00.

I like the new vignette.
Spray paint is amazing.

  2. I love how it looks so cozy!
...and just so you know...people, like me, do look at photos. (for one, I can't take a nice photo to save my life) but I LOVE THE vintage boxes on top of the book shelf in the first picture; and I also like the subtle change of the books! It makes the whole setting a bit more time worn, doesn't it.
clever trick. I've seen it--but not in this way. Now,I want to try it myself.

thanks for sharing your new lamp and thrift store finds. Pat
