Easter 2014

It seems like I have been going at a crazy pace, lately.
I wasn't sure I could keep it up but then I got some wonderful news so it has given me renewed vigor!
All I can say is sometimes it feels like a situation will never end and then suddenly it is over.
A huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.
I can't tell you too much about it but I can attest to God's faithfulness in the midst of injustice and mockery.

Back to the post.
I'm trying to get things ready for Easter.

I made this bunny bum banner. The idea came from Pinterest.

I cut the stencil using card stock
Easter can looks too cutesy with all kinds of rabbits around but here goes.

The lamb is a vintage nursery planter.

The large glass rabbit is a vintage candy container. It was a bit of a splurge at the antique mall.
I picked up the egg chocolate mold somewhere this year and almost forgot about it.
I just love it.

My favorite Easter decoration is a rabbit in a nest that came from my grandparent's house.

This is my second Peter Rabbit Royal Doulton figurine.
Bill and Dixie broke the first one playing catch after dinner one night. It was $18.00 off of eBay. I love it.

Here is a sneak peak of a bunny in the freshly painted secretary desk. I can't wait to show it to you.

The little white bunnies came from Tuesday Morning last year.
I had to re-tie the bows because they were too wonky.

We are hosting and we're having BBQ chicken, sausage, potato salad, green salad, lemon cake and some other sides.

My grand niece is almost two so we will have a little egg hunt for her.

Have a blessed Holy Week.
He is at work!

I am very partial to the gardening tool, gloves and gardening book as I am a gardening nut!

  2. What cute Easter decorations and ideas here, Katie. I am so sorry that you have been dealing with some drama that has caused you stress. We have had our own share of that in the last couple of years. There is a resolve but it is an uneasy one and does not sit well with anyone. Sometimes that is the best you can do. God bless you- and I hope your Easter is bright and blessed. xo Diana
