It boggles my mind to think about all the projects I accomplished this summer. Today is my last day of inservice and I'm exhausted but happy.
I'll take some pictures of our darling classroom to show you.

There were some things I didn't get to this summer but I'm okay with that. It was full of DIY.
Can we recap summer 2014?

The deck needed rearranging and sprucing up.
There was some yard work that needed to be done.
I decorated the house for summer with some metal accents.
Creating the Tiffany blue boxes was a fun day.
Fixing the kitchen table was a load off of my mind.
I scraped the popcorn off of the ceiling in the living room and painted it.
It was a horrible job but we are so glad it's done.
The next week I did the ceiling in the office. Bill treated me to a nice dinner at a wonderful restaurant in Ft. Worth!
We began and completed the pool. It's my favorite upcycle to date and it will forever remind me of the coldest summer we have ever had.
I redid my office/craft closet. I'm smitten with it and have kept it neat!
On July 3rd I noticed the cabinet was pulling away from the wall.
It didn't fall down but it got taken down. I patched the wall and put up shelves. Those are now painted with oil based paint and have been revealed.
The desk and hutch turned potting bench is one of my favorite repurposed projects.
It started a slew of furniture shuffling and painting which I've just started to reveal.
We also finished two deck projects outside. You've yet to see those.
The last weeks of summer were a little more relaxing.
We took a quick trip.
Bekah is moved to her new apartment.
Her view is gorgeous.
Movies, binge watching, jigsaw puzzles and another trip to the antique mall were all that was left on the agenda but I'm back at work.
Here is a sneak peak of our classroom.
I'll have more to show soon.

Summer has flown by fast, but then it always does. Isn't it amazing when you write how many projects you've accomplished it is more than it feels? Your seem to have gotten a lot done. Projects list are never done because we keep adding to them!
ReplyDeleteThat is the truth. I need to stop adding to the list.
Deleteoh WOW ... you really accomplished a lot. I would not have liked taking the popcorn off the ceilings. Something that everyone should do or have done. Nasty stuff.
ReplyDeleteLove your happy class room too.
Hugs,
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasrues
