Dining Room Reveal

Hi everybody.
One of my projects over Spring Break was the dining room.
I painted it Pebble by Glidden.

I shared that I was looking for a gray that wouldn't read blue, green or lavender.

It was cloudy the day I painted and the next day.
On Wednesday afternoon the sun finally came out.
This room reads a little pastel in the sun.
Gray is supposed to be a neutral but here it doesn't seem like it.

This room was dark and moody for so long that this is taking getting used to.

The chandelier got a makeover and went from Gothic to more shabby chic.
I did shop for a new chandelier but didn't find anything. After looking at every fixture on this side of town I came home empty handed.

One small change to this one and now I can live with it until the perfect vintage fixture comes our way.
You will get to see how it got its makeover in another post.

The way the chandelier reflects in the mirror is one of my favorite things.

That's it for now.
Thanks so much for coming by.

  6. I love the color! I am currently making over my dining room and I have the silvery gray color that reads blue. :( I didn't notice it until after it was painted and I am too lazy to paint it. LOL. Thanks for sharing. I stopped over from the Scoop

  11. Everything is so pretty, Katie! I think the gray looks perfect. I did my bedroom in gray and it came out so blue, I was crying! Paint is not cheap and time is short. Love the chandy, it's great when you can redo something, even if it is until you find the "right one".

Coming from Martina's link up party...love your blog! :)
