Thank you for stopping by.
It is a beautiful but cold day here in North Texas.

Last weekend Bill brought me some baby's breath from the grocery store.
I love it in vases because it lasts a long time.
It's also only $4.99 for a bouquet.

Its little snowball type flowers are brightening up our winter kitchen.
It inspired a tablescape this weekend.
We had some gray placemats with a checked border.
I got these on sale at Tuesday Morning years ago.
They are Nancy's Nook by Victorian Heart Company.
I tried to find something similar for you but everything else was country looking instead of farmhouse.
Vintage pink floral bread and butter plates rest on our white Adam's China plates.
The napkins are from Williams-Sonoma.
I found them at the the thrift store.
The flatware is Queen Bess by Community Plate.
I got those at First Monday Trade Days out in Canton and I love this pattern.
We ate off of a set like this when I was a child.
We use the reproduction Ball jars as drinking glasses.
They've come out with a limited edition color for past three years.
The Heritage Collection consisted of aqua, green and purple.
There is no new color for 2016.
I'd hoped there would be.
Wouldn't pink mason jars be cute?

A few months ago, I plopped the tin chalkboard onto a wooden board and fell in love with it as a centerpiece.
I hope this inspires you to set a pretty table.
If you like it-pin it.
Have a blessed Sunday!

Gorgeous tablesetting, Katie! I love the way you layered the centerpiece with the breadboard and the chalkboard. Baby's Breath is the best! It's so delicate and pretty but lasts forever. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, shoot...I just came from the groc store and didn't buy flowers...BUMMER.
ReplyDeleteYour Babies Breath looks great in the white pitcher. Love your pretty table
Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBaby's Breath always makes me think of weddings because they were used in so many bridal bouquets in the south when I was young. Seeing how beautiful your Baby's Breath is in your white pitcher makes me want to shop for a white ironstone pitcher. Just so you know, I saw this post before you posted your latest one that directs everyone back here. Blogger gave me trouble earlier today while composing a post. The insert a photo tool was not working. Whenever I clicked on it, it took me to just a blank page. I logged out of Blogger and came back a couple of hours later and all was well.
ReplyDeleteI do not know how to get a post to pop back up to the top. So if you find out how to do that, please post directions. :)

That is such a pretty table setting. I have some similar "faux" baby's breath in my half bath. I bought it at Walmart and it wasn't expensive. That way it will never die. I love your cute placemats. I love grey and white checked anything!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet tablescape! I love putting flowers in pitchers and yours is so pretty! I love the blue mason jars.
ReplyDeleteThis is so, so pretty, Katie. I love everything about it. The checked placemats, baby's breath, mason jars - just perfect. It's only 6 degrees here right now in Ohio but the sun is shining brilliantly so I am definitely feeling inspired!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved the simplicity of Baby's Breath. It's just so pretty and cloud like if you know what I mean,
ReplyDeleteVery beautifully done:) Your open dining and living room is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
Cindy
I love love your sweet tablescape. The soft blue and white color palette is perfection and the pretty floral accent plate gives it a charming touch.

Very pretty tablescape, Katie! I need to make some new placemats to fit our narrow kitchen table, and I like yours with the checked border fabric.
