Plaid is a big trend for Christmas 2016.
I'm thrilled because I adore plaid.
Visions of all things Christmas have been dancing through my head the past few weeks.
I was pleased to see that Pottery Barn had plaid throws again.
Bill got me a gift card for my birthday so I used it to buy the Denver Throw.
It is adorable.
I couldn't wait to try out a little vignette on the mantel.
It didn't stay but it was fun playing.
Did you know that you can make a stocking out of an old pleated plaid skirt?
A few years ago, I found a good pleated wool skirt at the thrift store.
Because of the pleats there was a lot of fabric and I could envision pillows.
The dry cleaners looked at me a little funny when I asked them to press out the pleats.
A seam ripper helped take out the waist band.
One of the pillows graced the love seat a few years ago.
There was a remnant left to make a stocking.
It matches the Pottery Barn throw perfectly.

The snowman came from the school gift exchange last year.
To see the one I made last year out of sweater go to this post.
This mantel has such a fun, traditional feel.
Please stop back by to see where else plaid is making an appearance.
Are you using plaid this Christmas?
