The weather in Texas is odd.
I adore my adopted state but the weather is just plain weird.
Does everyone say that about their weather?
There is this odd phenomenon when the wind is out of the south in the winter.
It can be 80 degrees in January but it is a strange 80 degrees.
Then, overnight or while you are at work, the wind can change, blow from the north and the temperature can drop 40 degrees. If it goes a little lower it can snow.
It does change but it's nice having nice warmer days and no snow.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, Katie! I so know what you're talking about. Used to live in Galveston, Texas and in west Texas and you just never knew what the weather would be like. We moved to upstate New York and we have all of the seasons. I love it - snow and all! Thank you so much for popping in to see me.

Up here in Illinois we get that same thing going on. In the winter the days can be below zero temps if the winds come out of the North from Canada and if the winds come up from the south then we get more mild temps and it feels good here. We might hit 50 this coming week. That is unheard of for us here in the midwest in January. So I will welcome seeing that and also some sunshine. Have a great weekend.

We've been pretty come lately. Hope those ice storms in the north don't do too much damage.
ReplyDeleteKatie, I've never lived in Texas, but I've heard stories of the weather. In San Diego, the weather is pretty much in the 70's. But, we do get the warm Santa Ana Winds in September. I wish we had more seasons, like a little snow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to visit!

Well we never get snow (once in a blue moon), but our temperatures go up and down like a roller coaster. We aren't native Floridians so we miss the 4 seasons and the beauty of snow, not the hassle of it.
