Smiles On/ Head Into Church

Listening to my grandparents bicker when they were hard of hearing was a hoot.
"Can you pass the cranberry sauce?"
"None of my family ever got a divorce!"
" I never said your family got a divorce. I said pass the cranberry sauce."
" I said, NONE OF MY FAMILY EVER GOT A DIVORCE."

Mr. and Mrs. Troll were bickering on the way to church.
I don't know about you but it seems like the last place a couple should bicker.
It is probably one of the trips where bickering is at an all time high.

We were late for church because I didn't tell Bill to get in the shower.
I dawdled with my makeup because he was not in the shower yet.
Bill made it to the truck before I did because I had to tee-tee.
Bill pulled to the truck out into the street thinking it would be quicker or
that I would hurry my little bootie faster.
I had to walk all the way out the street to get in the car because I was in
                           my wedge boots.
Once I hiked all the way to my side of the truck, I realized I may have
forgotten to turn off the flat iron.
This meant I had to hike all the way back to the house from the street.
We were never able to finish the argument of who was a fault.
I finally remarked that we sounded like my grandparents.
                           End of discussion.
Smile and get ready to greet happy parishioners.

     Have a great day.
May it be free of bickering.

  1. As long as it is the little things we argue about, and not the big important things, it just seems that it's a little like letting out the steam so the pot doesn't boil over. Good to know we're not the only ones!

  3. Haha, we may resemble that story. Especially when the kids were younger. :)

  5. We got to church early the first time we went in January. That day, I decided that would be our New Year's resolution. We have had good seats every week since!
