Red And White Spring Tablescape

We're having a travel group dinner tonight.

I pulled out our Pink Old Britain Castles by Johnson Brothers.

Grocery store flowers are arranged in a porcelain pitcher from Hobby Lobby.

This pitcher was waiting for me when I got home from Scotland last summer. Bill bought it and filled it full of hydrangeas.

The daisies and baby's breath scream "spring" to me.

The dinner plates were bought at a Johnson's Brother's outlet store.
They were $13.00 if I remember correctly. They are the border only plates in the 10.5 inch size.
We used these every day for a few years. Sadly, I've chipped one plate.
Replacement's Ltd. has two right now for sale but they are $59.00.
That's not happening. We'll live with the chip.

The china rests on our drop cloth place mats and our Hobby Lobby plastic chargers.
These affordable chargers were $1.99 each. They are my favorite chargers. I made the placemats during the drop cloth rush of 2013.
The silverplate is Queen Bess II by Oneida. Our knives are the solid ones instead of hollow. This pattern was created in 1946. I read on Etsy that this silver plate was part of a program in conjunction with Betty Crocker in which coupons could be used to purchase pieces.
Like the Green Stamps program, I suppose.
I found my set at First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas but we had this pattern when I was a child.
The stemware is June by by Fostoria. It was an active pattern from 1921 - 1951. We got this pattern from my mother in law. I just love it.

Everything can go into the dish washer except the stemware.

I received the rest of the set for Christmas. My sister in law found the platter and gave it to me for my birthday not too long ago.

Our chairs came from World Market.

The dining room is right off of the entry way.

Gorgeous morning light streams in through the window.

That is all for now!
I hope you have a blessed day on this Good Friday.
May we remember the sacrifice He made. He could have gotten off that cross but He chose not to for our sake.
Have a wonderful Easter and Passover.
