Our New Tea Table/Spring Tea Party Blog Hop

Welcome to the Spring Tea Party Blog Hop.

I want to give a huge shout out to Amber for putting this tea party blog hop together. Amber's blog is full of adorable vintage goodness.
If you are coming from Art and Sand welcome. It would be so much fun to have tea in Carol's gorgeous garden.

I have a new tea table in our garden room and I can't wait to show it to you. I got it in my head that the bench I was using in as a coffee table wasn't working for spring and summer.
I wanted something that took up less visual space.

I decided to check out the estate sales in my area.

There was a sale about five miles away and they were selling a sun room full of wicker furniture.
I was pretty sure they were going to sell it all as a set but I was pleasantly surprised when each piece was individually priced.
I was the 8th person in line for this sale. I think I was the first one to the sunroom.
Everybody else was in the garage. I was so excited about the table that I forgot to go back to the garage to see what was so interesting.

The table got a good scrubbing with soap and water.

I've styled it with a brass teapot and a Mason's teacup.

The elephant creamer belonged to my grandparents. It is German. I cannot explain why they would have made elephants in Germany. Maybe there was a new elephant at the Berlin zoo or something.

We've had this little pachyderm for the past 36 years but I don't think I have ever displayed it. I'm not sure why because it's darling.
I tried looking this little guy up on the internet but I couldn't find out anything about him. If you know, leave me a comment down below.

The pillows are made from  Ralph Lauren sheets.

I made the wreath from thrifted tropical greenery.

This is perfect for the British Colonial, old south, tropical look I'm going for this summer.
I don't mean to brag but it already feels like summer here in Texas. I know you will feel sorry for me in August.

Now visit my friend, Judith over at Botanic Bleu to see what she is up to.
Then check out the rest of the blogs on this hop.
Thanks for reading!
Katie

  7. Katie,
Your new-to-you wicker table was a great find. I think you were probably smart to bypass the garage and go to the sunroom to get to this table before the others. Thanks for the help with the technical issues on my tea party post.
