Welcome to our home decorated for Christmas.
I've had a lot of fun adding Christmas elements with a primitive or Colonial vibe.
Come on in.
I've raved about the dining room recently. It's become my favorite room in the house. A corner cupboard is the game changer. The room feels huge without sacrificing storage.
This tree is my favorite one this year.
It's adorned with many of our oldest ornaments.
The black satin ribbon with new plaid ribbon from Joann's is so pretty and striking.
The holiday cupboard is across from the dining room.
It houses a good portion of our plaid collection. I hope to be back with more of that.
I should change my mantel decor more often, but I really don't.
The center elements get changed seasonally. The rest of the time it's graced with some vintage ironstone and a thrifted clock.
The kitchen is across from the living room.
You can read about it in this post.
A reader favorite room is our enclosed porch turned garden room.
It's where we fall asleep in our favorite chairs each evening.
Welcome to age 60!
I'll be back with some close up shots.
The laundry room is also off of the kitchen at the front of the house.
It is very visible from the kitchen.
I love it this year!
I was inspired to change out the curtain by Parisienne Farmgirl's home tour last Christmas.
This is my favorite YouTube channel right now.
There is more to see upstairs.
You have already seen our room. I whine in this one so be forewarned.
The two guest rooms are beyond the mancave.
I love the buffalo check on the mancave tree.
It's got some new poinsettias because I just could not keep myself out of Hobby Lobby.
There will be no guests this year but the rooms are darling anyway.
I just noticed the fan in the picture above. Haha. This is Texas! We need our fans all year long.
There you have it. I think what I will do is come back with some close ups of the cutest vignettes. I've also already added some decor to the chandelier in the dining room and an orange garland in the kitchen. I can't wait to show you that.

Yesterday, was the 8th anniversary of my blog. It's hard to believe really. Where does the time go?
I hope you enjoyed the tour.
Merry Christmas.
Katie
Love this tour! Your home is always so inviting. Even more so at Christmas! And I’ll be happy to come stay in your guest bedroom since you won’t have visitors. And I’ll take the fan for sure! Glad I got to see your tour. Seriously beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks wonderful with all the plaid for Christmas. I wouldn't mind hanging out for a nap in your garden room.
ReplyDeleteLovely tour

Katie, everything looks amazing! I love how you've used so much white and added color to it. You've created a beautiful Christmas home for your family.
ReplyDeleteKatie, it's a treat to see your charming home decoraed for Christmas. I admire you for putting up multiple trees. I wish I had the room to allow that. I do decorate some smaller trees, but there is nothing like a full tree. Yours are beautiful! Love the tartan collection on your hutch.
ReplyDeleteLoved taking the tour Katie. Your home is decorated so pretty for the holiday.

Just glorious, Katie! SO pretty. I love your reading room tree especially but so many things -- the white cupboard, your beautiful dining room, that fabulous plaid on the bed. From door to end it is quite perfect! (I'm a woman with many trees, too! I love all yours!)
ReplyDeleteKatie,
ReplyDeleteLove your Christmas decor and especially your Trees!! So pretty!! I laughed about falling asleep in the chairs...Joe and I are so opposite. I am wide awake and up until 11:30pm and awake around 6 am...Joe goes to bed about 9pm and gets up about 7am!! I guess that is why i worked night shift for 37 years...I never was much of a sleeper!!
Thanks so much for all your visits and kind words!!
Hugs,
Deb
