Keep In Touch #205

Hi Friends,
How are you? I hope you are well.
Last week I shared our plans for the East Texas kitchen.
The countertops and sink have been ordered.
I did not go with an apron front sink but I think what we chose has will have a cottage-y feel.

This might be our July 4th weekend project because we will be out there for four days.

I usually have some project going on at all times. It was so hot last week that the projects moved indoors.
I finally got around to piecing the quilt squares that I put together in April. The quilt has been tied for now. I'll probably end up hand quilting it slowly over time.

For now it is folded at the end of our bed as I usually need one more layer than Bill. It is a perfect weight for summer. I adore the red and white.

To achieve an old school Ralph Lauren look, I stitched up a quick needlepoint canvas. By quick, I mean that I worked on it almost all weekend long. The canvas came with the florals already worked. This was an eBay find. The white ground is a first for me. Most of the time, I work needlepoints with a black or brown ground. I'm smitten with it.

The red floral pillow is made from a Ralph Lauren Belle Harbor sheet.
I've had it for years. It was also an eBay find.
Older Ralph Lauren linens are pricey!
Mental note- collect Ralph Lauren sets at thrift stores, sell and live comfortably off of the profit.

We had a good Father's Day celebration with the kids.

Bill wanted homemade pizza. It was delicious if I do say so myself.

Now for the features.
I love these flags by Cloches and Lavender. So creative. They have the primitive look that I love at 4th of July.

This blueberry tablescape by Dining Delight would also be perfect for Independence Day.

It's so pretty.
Thanks for all the inspiration last week.
Katie
