New Ceiling Fan For the Game Room

Weather in Texas can be unpredictable during the fall.
The other day it was 96 degrees.
The next morning it was 58.

The ceiling fan can run 10 months of the year but not all ceiling fans are created equal.

Our old one was middle of the line from Home Depot.
It didn't push enough air so we were still a little sweaty in spite of it running non-stop for three seasons.

After we scraped the popcorn, we wanted a new fan.
This time we went to Lamps Plus and had them talk with us about a fan that would provide enough air flow.

This one does.
The light kit was a separate purchase but they are perfect together.
It operates with a remote so I don't even have to move out of my favorite chair to adjust the air flow.

The day we scraped the popcorn, I painted the walls Gray Owl.
We used Sherwin Williams paint but it is a Ben Moore color.
It's a perfect light gray.

It's not too blue nor too green.

A few pumpkins decorate the space for the season.
It looks a little like fall even if it doesn't feel like it.

Our new doors are in and they are amazing.
It was too dark to take any pictures this afternoon.
I'll get some soon.
Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Fantastic! Ceiling fans are extremely important here in Texas. All those others who scoff at them in favor of a chandelier just don't understand!

    See you tomorrow. :)

  2. I would love to have a chandelier in the bedrooms and front room, but you're right about Texas heat. My husband would pout all Summer without his fans. People from other states don't understand why, even with air conditioning on, we run our fans all Summer.

  3. Love your ceiling fan and agree not all fans are good ones. Glad this one works well for you especially with living in Texas. Love the gray owl color on your walls. Sooooo pretty. Your family room looks so cozy.

Ah~h~h. . .let the breezes flow, dear friend!
We run our ceiling fans much of the year, too, here on the Prairie!
