Keep In Touch #99

Hello, Friends!
Welcome to Keep In Touch.
Last week I shared:

I am so in love with this chair now. We're all afraid to sit in it.
Even Kitty who doesn't mind christening all things new.
Don't ask me how he likes to christen things. Gorge much, Kitty?

I had fun turning our garden room into a French Orangerie

I let my creativity loose on this one. It was such fun to create. It makes me want to hop on a plane to France.

Bill and I went out of town for President's Day weekend. We didn't go to France.
East Texas is a good alternative though.
Our weekend was almost cut short because we couldn't turn on the water.
Um no. I like being clean.

Bill had a chat with my brother and the caretaker and they got it turned on.
The sun finally came out. Dixie and I had a good walk while Bill went fishing.

Spring is arriving in East Texas.

Bill and I found the most amazing antique store.

I will put a post together showcasing our Frenchy finds but in the mean time check out this
tureen. It was only $30.00. The plants are from Lowes.

The rug is from IKEA. We picked it up yesterday.
Now for the features.
We had such a great turn out last week for Keep In Touch.

Annies Home shared Magic Cookie Bars
I haven't made these in years and kind of forgot about them.
They are worth making again.

Whispers of the Heart shares her vintage Valentine handkerchief collection.

This was one of my favorites from her collection. How adorable are they?

Maria has a great post about how to organize your bills.

Now for the link up.

  6. Katie,
Me again!! Thanks so much for stopping by and I did link up the post about my Word for this month!! Sadly, I will probably never get to Texas as i am not a traveler but I so appreciate your offer to visit and have dinner...That would be so nice!! You may feel differently about retirement when your husband retires. It is an adjustment and I am thankful that Joe is working part time because being home together constantly is not as cracked up as you would think. I am used to being alone and doing my own thing because we worked opposite shifts for over 37 years. I was also used to handling everything having to do with the house and he always said okay to whatever I decided. Now, he thinks he has a better way to do things and I could just about scream most of the time....So maybe, be happy that your hubby is still working!! LOL!!
    Hugs,
    Deb

    1. I get it. Yes. Bill will interject an opinion here and there. For some reason, I was able to paint a lot of furniture white while he wasn't feeling well. Now that he feels good again, he doesn't like all the white. I'm slowly going to back to woods again. Maybe I'll get up there sometime! :)
