Faux Boxwood Wreaths

I've been a little in love with boxwood wreaths the last few years.
They are such a good choice for all seasons but they are especially fun for the holidays.
They give my house a French country look but they are a great choice for farmhouse style.

I have a fun and beautiful preserved boxwood wreath but these can be expensive.

I've tried to preserve my own boxwood and it works for a while but it isn't like professionally preserved boxwood.
A faux boxwood wreath is a good, more permanent and more affordable option.

Option #1 was made from a grapevine wreath and a section of boxwood garland from Joann's.
The regular price for the garland is $14.99. Never pay full price at any of the craft stores. Use a coupon or wait for it to go on sale.
A simple green satin ribbon makes this a simple but elegant look.
An 18 inch grapevine wreath is $6.99.

They also come in 6, 8, 12, or 24 inches.
Option #2 is on one of the smaller wreaths.

Joann's also has oval wreaths.
You will need the boxwood garland, a grapevine wreath or other wreath form, floral wire, and a wire cutter.

Begin by cutting long sections of wire. Wrap the wire around the grapevine and the boxwood to secure it all around the wreath.
It's so simple.
I used the rest of the garland in small bunches for pitchers around the house.
I've made several of these because I'm just smitten with them.

Option #3 was just $5.00!
I got four bunches of boxwood from Walmart. They were 97 cents each. The wreath came from the Dollar Tree! I filled in with some greens leftover from the other wreaths.
I've also tied a green satin ribbon.
I love these.
So versatile and fun.
Thanks for stopping by.
Katie

    1. I got them at the thrift store. They were donated by Antiques And More when they closed. They are beautiful and I was thrilled to find them and some in Navy blue.
