Keep In Touch #206

Hello, Friends,
How are you? I hope you are healthy, happy and feeling blessed.

This past week I shared our living room decked out in blue and white

I also shared some patriotic decor out in East Texas.

Our bedroom has a new quilt. I shared it and some cottage style bedding ideas. . This morning, I added some red to our bathroom.

I love this artwork by The Marmelade Gypsy.

I also loved Paula's fun summer home tour over at Sweet Pea.

That tugboat is adorable.
That is all for now.

Keep In Touch #204

Hi, Friends,
How are you? I hope you are all doing well.
Welcome to Keep In Touch. I'm so glad that you are here.

I shared a few tweaks to our kitchen for summer. Y'all know I love redecorating for the seasons.

I also shared the current state of affairs at our property out in East Texas. We'd had some setbacks but we had a great weekend this past weekend. We took a break from the hard labor and met some friends at a winery for dinner. These are friends from town. One couple is about three minutes away and the other lives in our neighborhood. We don't see each other much here in town but met for dinner out in East Texas. It was fun.

Now for the features.

I love this patriotic tiered tray by TeeDiddlydee.

I want to try this creamed corn by Bluesky at Home .
It looks so good.

Thank you so much for linking up.
Have a wonderful week.

Keep In Touch #203

HI, Friends,
Welcome to Keep In Touch.
How are you? I hope you are well.
I don't know what happened that I forgot to post last night.
Thank you for sticking with me.
I had one post last week and chatted about The Old World Design Society.

I'll have an East Texas update coming this week. If the weather will cooperate, I'll get some images of changes around our house in town and post that.

Thrifting Wonderland shared some finds and some info about how to thrift for and identify crystal if it's not marked.

This living wall from A Life Unfolding is such a fun idea.

Hi, Friends,
Welcome to Keep In Touch.
I hope you are doing well.

Last week, I wrote about some strawberry collectables for early summer decor.

I shared some thrifty finds

I shared an update on our new kitten. She is a darling. She is settling in beautifully.

Now for the features.

I love this fence picket bunting by TeeDiddlyDee

I also love this Shiny Brite Wreath by Fresh Vintage by Lisa S.

I hope these will inspire your patriotic decor for Independence Day.
In this post, Debbie Dabble talks about all that has been going on at their place. Deb has started her patriotic decor so you will want to check that out as well.

That is all for now. Thanks for linking up.

Keep In Touch #201

Hi, Friends,
Welcome to Keep In Touch.
I hope this finds you well.

This week I wrote about our bed. I'd wanted to paint it for a long time. Bill finally gave me the go ahead.
Spoiler alert! I painted the bed.

I love it white.

I also revealed our laundry room out in East Texas.
If I have to be in the laundry room, I want it to be cute.

Now for the features.

This crocodile is just adorable by Lalka Crochetka

This bee themed tiered tray by My Home of all Seasons is just too cute. Bee themed objects are perfect for summer.

These breakfast enchiladas by Homemade On A Weeknight sound amazing.

Keep In Touch #198

Hi, Friends,
How are you? I hope you are well.
My brother has been here so I haven't blogged much this week.
I did share some updates on the quonset hut

He made more progress this past weekend and my brother was here to help clean up all the sheet rock.

We got the propane tank and spirea moved away from the back door. Our view obstruction is gone.

We just need the grass to grow in a little.

Hopefully, the spirea will survive but neither one of us wanted to wait until December to move it.
We couldn't wait to get it out of the way. The rainy season seems it's best chance of survival.

I refinished the buffet from our dining room in town last week. We took it to the new house.

A darling Eastlake dresser was moved down from our game room.
It's a perfect place for linens and silverware.
That is all for me.
Now for the features.

Debbie over at Debbie Dabble shares an update on her next door neighbor situation and her refreshed spring porch.

We have a junky neighbor to the south of us at our East Texas house.

These kolaches look amazing. I would love to try a home version like these by Cindy's Online Recipe Box.

Thank you so much for linking up last week.
Have a great week.

Keep In Touch #197

Hi, Friends,
I've been cleaning like crazy so far this week because tomorrow I go and get my brother so that we can spend a few days together.
I haven't seen him in a year.
You can read about our junking adventures in this Junkpaloosa post.

Bill and I spent a week out in East Texas. The weather was really good so we did some painting.

The quonset hut is staying and it is green. I'm so happy. It's improved the curb appeal.
The inside demo continued and now we have a spot for the mower.

I'll have a new post with the most current plan.
Now for the features.
This remodeled master bathroom is gorgeous over at Peacock Ridge Farm.

I've been trying to eat healthier. Biscuits like this from Homemade On A Weeknight don't help. They look delicious.

Thanks for linking up last week.

Keep In Touch #196

Hi, Friends,
Bill is taking a week of vacation so we're out in East Texas getting a few things done.

Bill decided not to move the quonset hut so we got it painted yesterday.

The tan eyesore is tan no more!

He braved the carpenter bees and got the trim primed.

We stopped in at the propane company. They are coming out next week to move the propane tank.
You can see it peeking out behind the spirea. We told them where it was and they immediately said it needs to be ten feet away from the house.
Burying it was cost prohibitive so it will be moved out of our line of sight and away from the back door.

Next winter we'll move the spirea.
The exterminator is coming to help with the cutter ants.
Our mower was supposed to be delivered today but it didn't come. I'm not sure what went wrong there.
We need to mow in a bad way.
I've worked on some immediate abatement for the ants and have continued planning some simple landscape.

I continue to tweak the potting shed.

I just love it. Who would have believed that this was an old deer blind?
Bill calls it the Daiquiri Stand. Come by for Daiquiris sometime.
I still need to install an old door knob.
I found one today at an antique shop but it is rusted together so I'm not sure it will work.

The curb appeal is greatly improved since we bought it.

Here is before of the front of the house.

That takes care of the last of the tan except for the front porch of the cabin.

I told Bill that he needs to wait until mama bird is finished raising her brood.

I started a new quilt. It's been fun a fun project when I'm not painting.

That is about it for us and that is why I'm so late with Keep In Touch. I completely forgot about it until Wednesday night.

I love this console table by Coco at The Crowned Goat.

I love beef stroganoff so I'm excited to try this recipe by Amy at Heritage Home Ec.

Thanks for all your visits. I really appreciate it.
Now for the link up.
